A Short Documentary
The Kashmir conflict is a decades-long dispute between India and Pakistan over the region of Jammu and Kashmir, stemming from the 1947 partition. It has gone through territorial disputes, UN resolutions for a plebiscite, insurgency, and a limited war in 1999. The conflict has resulted in human rights abuses and the persecution of Muslims in Kashmir, including excessive force, pellet gun injuries, displacement, and allegations of sexual violence by security forces. A just and peaceful resolution is needed, addressing the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
